Caylen Badgett wins National Phi Upsilon Omicron Scholarship
Caylen Badgett (Family & Consumer Sciences Education Major) is the recipient of the Jackman Scholarship through Phi Upsilon Omicron (Phi U), a national honorary for Family and Consumer Sciences. Her willingness to help others is most impressive. She has made significant contributions within the community through her many service activities. Caylen was the Phi U Vice President over the Professional Project at EKU this year. She was a leader who pulled together all members in each FCS area to work on a mutual cause, such as working with teen mothers. Ms. Badgett’s achievements with Phi U led to her being voted as the Region 2 Collegiate Representative for the next two years. Caylen also served as President in the EKU student unit section of AAFCS. She was very successful at spearheading multiple projects with this group. In the fall, she will assume the role of KAFCS Student Unit Chair.
